The town was called Warminster Township as early as 1685, before its borders were formally established in 1711. It was originally part of Southampton Township, which was founded in 1682 by William Penn. Warminster was named after a small town in the county of Wiltshire, at the western extremity of Salisbury Plain, England. Warminster, Pennsylvania was mostly settled by English and Scotch-Irish colonists after William Penn received a grant of land in the area from King Charles, II. It was the site of the Battle of Crooked Billet during the Revolutionary War, which resulted in a resounding defeat for George Washington's colonial troops.
Warminster's Craven Hall is included in the National Register of Historic Places listings in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Warminster's most significant historical figure was William Tennent, an outspoken religious leader and educator.
World War II, the U.S. Navy acquired an industrial site here from the Brewster Aeronautical Corporation in 1943. The Center initially served as a weapons development and airplane testing facility. The Naval Air Warfare Center, previously called the Johnsville Naval Air Development Center and then the Naval Air Development Center, operated in Warminster from World War II until it closed in 1996. As recently as 1955, the township had no residential subdivisions and only one housing complex, Lacey Park off County Line Road.
waiting for the results of the inspection, but the technician was really great and got the inspection done in a timely fashion.
Very good tech..told me what are going on but felt cost of the time board part was way overpriced. It cost me $600.00 for this part when the same Honeywell part online goes for under $100.00.Why the big 600% mark-up? I already paying $89.00 for the diagnostic visit.
Response from JC Heating & Cooling:
We apologize Alan, maybe our technician did not explain properly how the charges for your service call apply. We are on a flat rate system that is used by our industry nationwide. Basically with flat rate it is exactly that, you are given the cost for your repair upfront so you can choose to go with the repair or decline the repair if you are not happy with the price. Also the price does not change if it takes the tech longer to make the repair, and there are no additional charges. Included in the repair price is 1. The technicians labor cost, this is the technicians pay, his benefits which include medical, dental, and vision insurance for his family. His training, techs receive over 150 hours of paid training per year. 2. Then you have the cost of the service vehicle, gas, insurance, maintenance, etc. 3. Then you have the cost of the office, the nice lady who answered the phone and helped you with your problem and getting a tech to your house same day to fic your heater, the rent and maintenance of this building. 4. Then finally the cost of the part, the cost of having the part on our truck to fix your heater the same day so you would not have to miss any more time from your busy schedule. 5. And finally a warranty cost, this is an electrical part and they do fail time to time and it happens. We do not charge you to come back out and replace the part if it fails but the tech still gets paid and all the other associated costs of sending the tech back out still have to get paid. Whew! I know it is an awful lot we just said but this is all the associated costs in you repair, I hope this answered your dissatisfaction and feel free to call our office with any other questions.
